Today on my lunch break Alexis and I bought a fridge. Best Buy really is...the best. We kept going to Sears to look at refrigerators because they were having a sale and the rest of our appliances are kenmore. But after three trips and three different 'helpers' (salespeople on commission) we were in the midst of checking out on a fridge we had settled on when we said...nevermind. The next day went back to Best Buy and found something immediately. And no pressure salespeople on commission, yaaay!

Hopefully there will be some more noticeable progress in the house over the next few weeks so there will be something post-worthy. Cabinets don't go in til the 14th :(

When the drywall went up, it meant we are at the 60 day mark...but I am thinking it will be even sooner than that! Things have been moving very quickly.

This week I have something new to focus on...cleaning my apartment (yuck). As much as I would like to just give up on this place, knowing I'll be leaving soon, with mom and grandmommy visiting next weekend (yay!) I really need to make things look presentable -- probably for the last time!

The house is now locked up, so only WE can go inside! (We met some neighbors earlier this week -- inside our house!) They told us good things about the neighborhood. They said that the people down the street from us are selling their house so they can downsize (their kids are moving away) - but that they are building again in the same neighborhood! Definitely a good sign.

Moving right along. Monday morning at 7am we meet about the electrical and figure out where we want things to go. We have one more interior 'selection' meeting and we will be done with that. Still working on kitchen cabinets as well. I just want it to hurry up and be done!

front view - there is a pond across the street. Sure will make for a nice view as long as no one ever builds across the street!

By the end of next week, all framing should be done. We are told that once we get to that point, the house will definitely be done in under 90 days! Yaaay! The only drawback is then we have to hand over the money, so we better have it all by then!! Those upgrades we didn't plan on getting sure are adding up quick!
